IMP Club

130 Swanley Lane, Swanley, Kent, BR8 7LH.

Founded in 1980 by Richard Knight in Swindon The Imp Club promotes the enjoyment and preservation of the Hillman Imp range of cars, and it’s derivatives, 30 years later this is still our core aim.

There are currently well over a 1000 members from all around the world. Not only do they own numerous Imps, many have direct links to the Rootes/Chrysler factories, the dealerships or the people that used to work in them. The others simply just love the Imp for the fun car it is!

A wide selection of member’s cars can be seen at ‘The National’ our annual rally and at the numerous classic car shows that are held during the year. As the National is held at different venues around the UK each year it always attracts the members based in the local region as well as a strong following of owners who it seems, will travel anywhere to be part of this great event. Members cars can also be seen on club events, classic car shows or competing in various forms of motorsport.

Additionally a large network of Area Centre meetings are held on a regular basis around the UK and Imp owners can come along and socialise, and talk Imps.

The club produces Impressions, our full colour, monthly magazine, which is free to all members, Regalia and Club Spares provide those important parts for ‘Keeping the Imp Alive!’ are much used and appreciated services to members.
