In 1994 there were over 75,000 MG Metros licensed for road use in the UK but, according to the web site, How Many Left, by the beginning of 2017 this number had dropped to only 114.
This excellent example was sold new by the local Austin Rover dealer in Chelmsford, Lex Mead, in April 1987 to a local gentleman who kept it for 22 years until 2009.
During this time, he had it religously serviced when due by the local main dealer. The history file contains dozens of invoices for all the work that the car received over the 22 years.
Since he sold it in 2009 it has been owned by three enthusiasts who have carried on maintaining it as necessary.
The history file contains the current V5 Registration Document, the current MOT which runs until May 2018, the clear HPI report, a copy of the original V5, a number of old road tax discs, other DVLA paperwork, 27 expired MOT certificates detailing the low annual increase in mileage and the dozens of service and repair invoices.
Rules that commenced in October 2014 mean that the car will be licensed from the date of sale for the new owner if required.
The current mileage reading is only 71982 miles and this car is likely to be an excellent investment.
Prospective buyers are welcome to come and view the car in our Leeds showroom.
