For "Track Day" Hire: Our Ginetta G40 Club. Ginetta, a Great British marque producing road and race cars since 1958 and currently enjoying a revival under the stewardship of Lawrence Tomlinson. The Ginetta G40 Club is the road version of the Ginetta G40 race car first introduced in 2010. We'll take RWD with limited slip diff.; race engineered suspension and brakes; Team Dynamics alloys shod with 205/40x17 Michelin Pilot Sport tyres. Uncompromising, loud, raw and exciting.
Our G40 Club was acquired in 2014 to take part in the inaugural GRDC novice race series and subsequently in the GT5 Challenge series. Now it is a regular sight at tracks around the UK and Europe. It offers stunning performance from a 1.8 litre DOHC 16 valve engine in a lightweight chassis and body to ensure excellent power to weight. FIA approved T45 integrated safety cell with on board fire extinguisher, 45 litre fuel cell, racing bucket seats and 5 point harness provide safety. Q/R Ginetta steering wheel and push button start complete the spec. Currently serviced and prepared by Matt Blyth Motorsport. Race bred for the road.
Trackday Use: The Ginetta is available for hire at selected trackdays at Thruxton, Castle Combe, Abingdon, Silverstone and Brands Hatch - go to trackdays.co.uk and let us know your requirements. The car is trailered to the circuit by Icon Classic Car and where available a pit garage is reserved. The Ginetta vehicle hire charge comprises five 20 minute track sessions (the equivalent of approx. 60 laps depending on the circuit - similar to an F1 race!). The vehicle hire charge also inlcudes trackday insurance and fuel. The hirer is directly responsible for the circuit track day cost - payable to the track day organiser. For the Ginetta an insurance and security pre-authorized "card" deposit of £2500 is required cancelled on safe return of the vehicle. Customers must comply with circuit regulations including red and black flag warnings (which can result in early termination of track time and disqualification from further participation in the track day). In such cases hire charges are non refundable. Crash helmets must be provided by customers and worn. It is also advisable to wear suitably narrow shoes. Note: the Ginetta is a tight fit and would not be suitable for those much over 5ft 11in (1.8m) and 15 stone.
