I have changed the wording about this jeep for using the button below who is very annoyed that I listed it as a willys jeep.
I would always advertise one of these as a willys jeep despite it being made in France because people tend to only put willys jeep in a search box often not aware these french built jeeps even exist , anyway to make things crystal clear for David, This is actually a post war french built willys jeep made in the Hotchkiss factory, It is not a ww2 willys jeep but I would like to also say despite It not being a ww2 jeep It is far superior built to the ww2 jeeps but cosmetically identical other than the hidden mechanical modifications introduced by the french military after the war, these jeeps are not quite as valuable as ww2 jeeps due to the lack of ww2 provenance , It is UK registered, Americanized with canvass seats, bar grip tyres, usual mechanical upgrades and typical rust free Hotchkiss chassis so much less stress to own and maintain than a ww2 jeep,
there are many restored ww2 jeeps driving around with the upgraded Hotchkiss engines and drive-trains fitted, the only reason one of these french built jeeps would have to doff its cap to a wartime jeep would be Its lack of wartime provenance.
I also have a ww2 ford jeep for sale if the ww2 provenance is more important than the build quality and upgrades, pictures enclosed , I personally much prefer the Hotchkiss jeeps to drive and they can easily be Americanized to look identical to ww2 ring for full details £12500 ono
