The Wolseley 1300 Mk II is a desirable version of the ever-popular Austin/Morris 1100/1300 which were a common site on our roads during the 1960s and 70s. This particular car is a really genuine, low mileage excellent example. Having covered only 56,000 miles from new, it is evident that this lovely car has been cherished all its life. She drives faultlessly with her 1275cc engine and twin carbs, giving a nippy and economical performance. She has never been welded or restored and she even has the original sub frames, which are both in excellent condition. The interior is all original, except for new carpets, and is in excellent condition, including the wood dashboard and headlining. The wings, sills, floor pans, door bottoms, wheel arches and front and back panels under the bumpers are all in excellent condition. The paintwork and chrome are also in excellent condition. Both CV joints have been replaced and the steering rack has been reconditioned. A new battery and twin horns were fitted last winter. She starts on the button and is 100% reliable. The car does not need any work and is in A1 condition. Although there is no need for an MOT certificate, this lovely car now has 12 months MOT and passed the test with no advisories. She is used regularly on dry days and kept in a carpeted and dry internal garage. She cruises at 65-70 mph with no problem and easily keeps up with modern traffic. Very economical, free road tax and insurance at £75 per year, it is just about the cheapest classic car to run that you could find. There are not many Wolseley 1300 Mk IIs about and prices are steadily rising. You can buy this car with confidence and it would be difficult to find a better example, especially in this eye-catching colour which will give you the thumbs-up wherever you go!
