The factory Kardex which accompanies this fabulous 356 coupe confirms that is a genuine SC model which retains its original engine and gearbox and is still finished in its original colour scheme of Dolphin Grey with blue corduroy trim, including optional headrests. A letter from Porsche, dated 1988, mentions that the then owner, a USAF Major from Ohio, was in the process of restoring the car to original condition.
The car has enjoyed enthusiastic ownership for the past 30-odd years and remains in immaculate condition throughout. It drives superbly as one would expect from the ultimate incarnation of the 356, fitted as it is with the 95bhp engine option and disc brakes front and rear. Fairly recently the car was fitted with new floor pans and logitudinals by 356 specialists and the interior has been re-trimmed. The car has covered around 10,000 miles since a comprehensive engine rebuild, carried out by Ed Pimm at EPR Automotive. All of this work is documented in a large history file that accompanies the car and details maintenance and expenditure since the 1980's.
