Welcome to ''DIE OLDTIMER BOUTIQUE by Till Rosenkranz'':
Having sold and owned classic cars for more than twenty years, we decided to combine these and now we are proud to present the best cars from our stock:
Like this incredible Dino 246!
These sports cars were manufactured from 1969 to 1974 by the Italian car manufacturer Ferrari. The body was designed by Aldo Brovarone for Pininfarina. Because the car has a V6 engine instead of the twelve cylinder engine typical for Ferrari, it was not sold as a Ferrari but under the brand name 'Dino', which is named after Enzo Ferrari's son, Alfredo Ferrari. A Dino in its original condition bears neither the Ferrari logo nor the Ferrari lettering. The Dino has its own emblem; the name Dino in blue lettering on a yellow background. The Dino 246 was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in the spring of 1969, as the successor to the Dino 206 GT, the first mid-engined production car to be produced by Ferrari. The 246 designation refers to the engine's 2.4 litres capacity and its six cylinders. The Dino 246 is differentiated from the Dino 206 GT by the flap which covers the fuel cap on the left C-pillar. The wheelbase increased from 2280 to 2340 mm. While the body of the Dino 206 GT was made entirely of aluminium, the 246 bodies were made of steel. Only the hoods and doors of the first 246 series (L series) were still made of aluminium. The 65¡ V6 engine, produced by Fiat, now had a cast iron engine block instead of an aluminium and grew from 1987 ccm to 2418 ccm by increasing the size of the bore and stroke. In 1970 ,the Rudge wheel locks were abandoned in favour of five wheel bolts. The Dino 246 was built in three different series which differ mainly in modifications to the gearbox. Within these series, there were different basic variants for Europe, the USA and Great Britain. The series 3 or E (tipo 607 E) had the chassis numbers 02132 to 08518 GT/GTS, and were built from 1971 to 1974. 1,868 Dino GTs (source: Wikipedia) were produced up to 1974. The Dino 246 GT offered here, from 1971, has a Classic Analytics certificate from 2018 certifying the condition as grade 2+.
