DeSoto played the role of Chrysler’s sportier sister marque, and the Adventurer, like its Chrysler 300 stablemate, was a high-performance luxury car intended to draw foot traffic into showrooms. The stylish new car represented a high point for Virgil Exner’s revolutionary Forward Look design language, with its dramatic tail fins, intricate detailing, and aviation-inspired flourishes.The motor car offered is one of just 1,650 Adventurer Sportsman Coupes built in 1957. This attractive example features the 345-cubic-inch version of the legendary Hemi V-8, topped with a factory dual-four-barrel intake. This DeSoto Firedome Series S25 Sedan was built in 1957, but it still looks as if it has just come fresh from the factory. The color combination of brown and beige is as shiny as it was on day one,.....
This Firedome was built in 1957 and comes from the Series S25 Sportsman. The car had its last paintwork in pearl white and wine red 15 years ago, today it has a really nice patina. The body was overhauled.....
