It is with a heavy heart that I am putting up my 1967 MGB for sale but with the need to plan and pay for a wedding I must now sadly pass her on.
She starts on the button every time and pulls and drives away extremely well. She feels very strong in all gears with a fully working overdrive. She is solid especially on the sills, floors and castle rails. It comes with both a canvas roof as well and a tonneau cover as well as a much sort after Les Leston racing steering wheel. The carpets as well as both door cards and seats are in very good condition.
In my time I have replaced the radiator and pipes. She has had her brakes completely overhauled as well as her points and coil replaced and I have had her garaged safely with blankets.
However despite the photos I insist on saying that she is by no means a show pony as there are some areas that require improving. She has a number of spots where the paintwork has cracked or starting to bubble, and so if being honest she would benefit from a full respray to get her back to her splendour.
The rear nearside lower wing would benefit from being replaced as it has severe rusting as well as the rear interior cockpit rail and there are areas of rust on the rear luggage rack. The chrome wheels also look a little tired, but I feel all of these things are merely small cosmetic alterations you can achieve as you go, with the confidence that she is mechanically and structurally as strong as an Ox.
I feel like am asking for a fair price for what is now a very sort after 1960’s Mgb
I have tried to be as honest as I can be but if there are any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
