This vehicle was first registered in June 1984.
The car was converted from a Marlin road car to a Trials spec in late 2002 by Steve Holder at Fourtune Engineering in Cheltenham however it is worth noting that the car can be converted back to a road car if so desired.
A replacement rebuilt MGB engine was fitted in 2003, it has since covered 10000 miles, giving what can best be described as a brisk performance.
The specification is as follows:-
Marina based SWB Marlin
1798cc MGB engine with twin SU carbs
Front suspension raised and modified
Rear suspension Marina 10cwt van springs
Rear axle Marina 10cwt van type with roller bearings and 4.5:1 diff
Marina 1800 gearbox
MGB wheels with 185 14 tyres
Battery cut off switch
Rear tool box
2 spare wheel carrier to MSA/ACTC regulations
The paintwork is not pristine and has a few scrapes and blemishes.
I also have an unfitted Peter Burgess leadfree Fast Road head and Piper 270 Fast Road camshaft that may be available via separate negotiation if desired.
I bought this car last December, and its great for the roads where I live, but I've succumbed to a BMW engined Marlin Sportster, so it has to go.
