Fully restored to a very high standard back in the early 1980's and then went on show in 2 museums for the last 30 years. In 1983 it won first prize in the American Automobile Club annual event.
When I purchased the little car it needed only light re-commissioning with new tyres, battery and brakes adjusting.
It now starts very easily when cold or hot by the starter switch or crank handle.
It is great fun to drive and gets smiles, waves and admiration whoever it goes.
It is as clean underneath and you could literally eat your dinner off it.
The cloth hood is in very good condition and I haven't bothered with side windows as I didn't plan on using it in the wet.
The chassis and engine number are clearly stamped on the rear crossmember and the engine is the original, which is pretty impressive!
This is one of the earliest Chummy's there are very few left without the outside door handles and shuttle lights.

My Chummy went to America in the 1980s after it was seen in the Lake District, newly restored, by an American who put a "if you ever want to sell.." note on the screen.
