1965 A65L Lightning Clubman 650. it had been in storage since the early 2000's by a previous owner & now Fully recommissioned. It has a current V5C and a continuation green card log book and some old MOTs. The MOT's confirm that the bike has had little use since 1998.
Engine no A65DC.2859 (with bench test marker disc on inner timing cover as fitted to Clubmans) Frame No A50B.5514 Original matching engine and frame numbers. Correct Clubman top yolk, rear sprocket and centre stand and deep chrome headlamp shell and correct gold despatch colour for a Clubman .
The bike is fitted with Tomasselli adjustable ace bars and clubman rearsets. We have the parts to convert to A65 ; touring footrests , if required. The engine has been rebuilt with standard 8.5:1 pistons to replace the higher compression pistons fitted as standard. It is fitted with concentric carbs but We have the original used Mono blocs , which will be Included in the sale .
The bike starts very easily and runs and sounds very well ( see video ) and the Running gear and brakes are good and the bike is in very good overall ; lightly restored condition, its a bike to be ridden .
