1970 Marcos For Sale

Marcos 3 litre Ford Essex V6. Factory built. Great condition. Solid rust free chassis, adjustable suspension, new tyres on good condition original wheels, LSD. Five speed gearbox, shortshift. Good compression on engine, been totally reliable on some very long runs. 3 into 1 headers and re jetted carb to suit, makes a great sound. Essex alloy cam covers. (May have an up rated cam, there is a definite step at higher revs) Interior has just been refurbished and is in excellent condition, nice patina on original steering wheel. Bodywork is all in very good condition. Some age related crazing on the paintwork but overall is very nice with a deep shine. Factory fitted Sunroof, in good condition. Car drives exceptionally well. The term, racer on the road, is much overused but in this case is spot on. In fact not much is needed to make this car race ready. Or car can be used as it is now, having great days out and the occasional show. (always draws a crowd.) Gives an E-type a run for it's money in the glamour stakes.
This car has been fastidiously maintained by an enthusiast owner and only an arthritic knee has forced this sale. (you do have to be fairly mobile to get in and out the Marcos.)
Car is currently MOT'd , though can be registered to be exempt. Tax exempt. Classic (very reasonable) insurance. An important piece of British sports car history. Blue Chip investment.
Price, £30, 000.
