Weaver Company dated July 5, 1931 seem to reflect P-A’s relatively good sales in the first part of that year, despite the darkening clouds of the Great Depression. The Model C was a “new” smaller (132″ wheelbase) and lower priced car introduced in 1930 that was not dissimilar to the previous year’s Model 133 and the following year’s Model 43. Some examples were designated 1931’s by a sales department that might have been bending the truth just a little bit.

This rare variation of a Pierce-Arrow 5-passenger sedan is equipped with a 'fold to bed' assembly which allows the front and rear passenger seats to be converted into a comfortable bed. The model is powered by an eight-cylinder engine and the car is capable of generating 115 horsepower.
