Having received a sympathetic nut and bolt restoration, completed in June 2018, this Rover has just been returned to the road. It is a beautiful example of the marque and retains much of its originality such as radio, nicely patinated leather and its original high compression engine, even the rear exhaust section retains its stickers.
The car had lain unused since 1983 and has now received a comprehensive, body and mechanical restoration, with receipts to prove. In short, the car has received an engine re-build, full bare metal repaint in its original brigade red, full, new braking system, stainless steel fixings and fasteners throughout, re-bushed suspension, new stainless steel bumpers, new door cards and carpet, the list goes on.
A new inner and outer box section sill has been very well fitted and its difficult to tell apart from original. The usual P6 rot spots of rear suspension mounts, floors, under seat box section and bullhead are corrosion free.
The underside is in excellent condition. All suspension components were removed, treated and painted before refitting. Similarly, the floor is fully treated and naturally the box sections have been waxed throughout.

This car was a barn find about 12 years ago which was the last time it was driven. The condition is very honest but a total rebuild would make it a concours winner.
