This classic Ford 100E Popular Deluxe is in excellent condition and is a potential show winner.
We have examined the underside and can find no trace of any welding repairs which is remarkable for a 59 year old car which when sold new was one of the cheapest cars on the British market.
It was specified with the optional extra heater from new and since then has been fitted with a classic metal sunvisor, headlight peaks and furry dice to give it that classic 1950`s look.
We originally sold this car in 2012 to an enthusiast in Scotland who has enjoyed it immensely during his six years of ownership.
During this time he has improved it by having the engine fully reconditioned and fitting hardened valve seats to ensure the car can run on unleaded petrol. He has also fitted a stainless steel exhuast system and an under boot spare wheel carrier.
The current MOT runs until June 2019 although the car is MOT exempt.
The milometer reads 65838.
The history file contains the current V5, the current MOT certificate, DVLA registration and taxation paperwork, numerous old MOT certificates, old road tax discs, the invoices for the engine at a cost of £1740, the invoice of £336 for the stainless steel exhaust, other invoices for parts purchased and work completed, some original handbooks and a Classic Car Weekly article from 2008 when the car was given a road test by one of their journalists.
This car needs to be seen in person to appreciate how good it is.
