Classic Mercedes 350SL For Sale (1973) edit C96441 | | | 1973 Mercedes-Benz 350 SL Roadster SN 1070431209438. The 350 SL was the V8 successor to the venerable 280 SL straight 6 and this version was sold only in Germany. This car was purchased by the current owner in Germany, and brought back to the states after professional restoration and re-paint in 1987. The car has been garage-kept since that time, and is well documented since ownership by the current owner (since 1986). Documented mileage is 190,339, though the odometer shows 92,228 due to a new speedo during the 1987 restoration. The interior shows some wear, but the car is a solid rust-free survivor. Hard top and soft top are both there. Automatic transmission and later-installed factory-type air. A very nice rare German home-market automobile.
