I built the car as a toy and occasional play thing (and what a great toy it is), but my wife wants me to get a campervan we can all go away and stay in (no rear belts in the mini for the baby seat), so there you go - someone else can benefit from all my hard work!
Nice solid shell, has had extensive restoration in recent years. Painted in olive green cellulose which is in very nice condition with no rust issues.
I have fitted a 1275cc motor from VDP 1300 (incl. rod change 'box), MED cylinder Head, 10.5:1 compression ratio, twin 1.25 SU carbs, new Maniflow / RC40 exhaust system, new water pump, Minispares uprated radiator, recent uprated clutch, new clutch slave cylinder. Recent full service.
New Adjusta-rides all round, and adjustable dampers, 7.5" discs with Minisport alloy 4 pot calipers on the front, Aeroquip hoses, new rear drums, new Yoko A008s, new Minisport 'Cooper Steel' style alloy wheels. Recent rear subframe.
Original green interior, with woodrim Moto Lita steering wheel, rev counter (not yet wired in) and period drivers harness. New carpets. Fitted with larger late model fuel tank and new sender.
completed the almost 1000 mile round trip (with 3 adults) from Edinburgh to Goodwood ( East Sussex ) last year without any major issues, coping well with motorway speeds as well as loving the back roads!
I set out to build a period style fast road car which would be great fun to drive, but be civilised and tractable enough to use everyday in all traffic conditions. All in all, it fills my planned spec perfectly, and I'll be very sad to see it go.
Spares include the partially stripped original 850cc engine / box, original front drums/hubs, carb, exhaust, manifolds, original drivers seat etc - basically all the bits to put it back to standard, should you ever wish to do so.

Only thing that'll change from the photos is that i've taken out the drivers belt out and replace it with a period Britax one
Car is just south of Edinburgh, Scotland
