Very Low Vin 240Z, Restored to Perfection For Sale (1970) edit C52351 | | | For sale is my pride and joy. 1970 Datsun 240Z, Vin # HLS000248, production date of 11/69. This car was subject to a bare metal restoration using NOS Datsun parts when available. Rather than restored to stock, the car has been tastefully updated to modern standards.
Current spec is as follows:
Engine: 1995 Chevrolet V-8 (LT-1) with ported intake manifold, aluminum heads and block, cold air intake, uprated fuel injectors, 52 mm throttle body. Engine is plumbed for an additional 100 horsepower Nitrous injection (fully automatic with safety "window" switch, hidden switches for the electric bottle opener, arming switch, purge system, bottle warmer, etc.).
Transmision: T-56 6 speed manual transmission, vehicle skip shift disabled.
Rear End: Nissan Motorsports competition limited slip differential.
Brakes: Upgraded disc brakes front and rear
Wheels/Tires: 17 x 8 MB motorsport; 225/45/17 ZR Kumho Ecsta SPT (front), 245/45/17 ZR Kumho Ecsta SPT (rear).
Suspension: Fully custom adjustable front and back, ready for street/track/time attack. Fully adjustable coilovers front and rear with camber plates front and rear as well. Rear suspension also has custom adjustable rear control arms. Front suspension also has adjustable tension compression rods.
Interior: Custom re-upholstered dashboard with full suite of Autometer gauges, 7 speaker (alpine) sound system with 2 amplifiers (alpine/kenwood excelon), Stereo head unit is a Kenwood Excelon CD/MP3 player with Ipod hookup and remote control. Interior also features 6 point rollcage with safety harnesses, new carpets and sound deadening throughout. Also, car has power windows and power leather seats. Interior looks stock, but also features custom airconditioning system integrated with the stock Datsun controls.
Body: Shell was stripped to bare metal on rotissorie and all rust areas replaced with new metal. New frame rail subconnectors were installed. Bodywork has custom touches throughout (side marker lites were "smoothed", new lead was used at joints per Datsun), etc. Car features a custom Motorsports front air dam. Custom two tone paint job using DuPont Mercedes and Porsche colors.
Fuel System: Aeromotive racing products from front to rear including adjustable fuel pressure regulator, filters and fuel pump. Custom restored fuel tank, sumped for performance.
Currently have receipts totaling more than $55,000. No corners were cut in this restoration. Here is your chance to own a very rare and desireable new (old) car. This car will run a 12 sec. quarter mile and will out handle and perform cars costing twice as much at your track day. (And yet still return 30 mpg (US) on the motorway).
