Landrover, green swb, no road tax, SOLD (1971) C121115 | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | | This is a 1971(J)reg short wheel base Land Rover. As such it qualifies as a HISTORIC VEHICLE with NO ROAD TAX and cheap CLASSIC CAR INSURANCE. It has been fitted with a 2500cc 90/110 diesel before my ownership and has a manual 4 speed gearbox. (4WD and high and low ratio gears all work well)
It has been well used and has the usual slight bumps and grazes typical of a 'Landy' nearly forty years old. However it starts on the button, and passed its MOT test a few days ago(Oct26th - required n/s wheel bearing and track rod end, and new fuel tank). I have owned it since Feb2006 and have mainly used it around the farm.
It is fitted with ball and pin towing bracket with electrics, rear seat cushions, replacement front seat pads, new battery, radio/cassette. It has four good standard steel wheels with good tyres, and a rusty spare with a fair(legal)spare. Included in the sale are an additional four off road wheels and off road tyres (2 good tyres, 2 not). Whilst there is room for improvement, it is honest and roadworthy and ready for use.
