Free road tax, cheap insurance.
1970 ½ Chevrolet Camaro Z28 in excellent, restored condition.
This is the last of the real Chevy muscle cars and the most sought after year for a Camaro Z28 before the strikes later on in 1970 and onwards. The car was built in Norwood, Ohio, USA in the 3rd week of February 1970. The car is correctly UK registered on an age related number plate, TLR 26M and benefits from free road tax as it is classed as a historic vehicle. With regards to classic car insurance it can be insured for as little as £100
This is a genuine, excellent condition Z28 as decoded from the tag which is 28.10. This decodes as a Camaro Z28 which was originally forest green with white stripes. The car is a manual Z28 which makes it even rarer and the car has a re-built 4 speed Muncie manual box with hurst shifter. The clutch, clutch mechanism, fly wheel and pedals are also new or restored.
With regards to restoration work carried out to this vehicle recently, the car has had new front wings, both inner and outer. It has a new front panel, new headlights, new chrome bumpers and side marker lights. The radiator has been re-conditioned and so has the heater matrix. Also new are the power steering pump, alternator and pulleys. Also done are the new rear window valance, new chrome trims on front and rear windows. All the heater and radiator hoses have been replaced and the car has new brakes and flexible pipes.
Interior wise the car benefits from new door cards, new chrome window winders, new carpets and seat belts and retains the correct low back seats
The wheels are new genuine chrome American racing alloys with new tyres in unmarked condition.
The Z28 has a new, rebuilt engine which is a Chevy 350 cubic inch engine which has been honed out, bores, new rings, bearings, timing chain kit, new oil pump, hi-lift performance cam and followers, new fuel pump, distributor cap, carb, aluminium manifold, leads and headers with new chrome rocker covers and chrome air filter. The engine is in cracking condition and whilst not numbers matching it is a similar spec engine to standard.
The car has a custom built, stainless steel powerflow exhaust which sounds amazing with the real V8 rumble.
Also fitted, for modern convenience, is a new CD player with Alpine speakers.
As can be seen from the pictures, the whole car is in excellent condition from the interior to the engine bay and underside of the car.
The car has been painted in 2 pack black with silver stripes with a clear coat lacquered.
This car is cherished, always garaged and with detailed engine bay and very clean underside. I hope it also goes without saying the time and money that has gone into this car by the previous owner. It is also obviously completely rust free.

The best one for sale by quite a margin. You can see in some of the pics it was at an american car show and many experienced mechanics/car fans said the camaro was the best car there.
