Triumph Spitfire 1500 For Sale (1976) edit C120360 | | | For sale, one metalic racing green Triumph Spitfire 1500 year 1976.
The car is currently fitted with the following modifications:
Jigsaw stage 2 1500 engine with mk3 profile camshaft,
52mm K&N air filters,
Uprated halfshafts,
Full with radiator with kenlowe electric fan,
Hi-Torq starter motor,
Oil cooler (9 bar, stainless braided hoses),
Roll bar,
Greenstuff uprated pads at front.
The car runs very well, and has had well over £7k spent on it although I only have reciepts for £6+.
Body shell is very sound, chassis is also sound save for some corrosion at the very front of the car.
Engine has only done 150 miles from new, lots of new shiney bits like magnetronic ignition, all hoses new etc.
The heater works VERY well, even on very cold days.
The bad bits:
The hood ideally needs replacing,
The paint work needs a small amount of attention in places,
There is no glove box at present although it is just the cardboard missing
No radio or trim f, or the centre console 'H' bracket
Two rectangular holes cut in back board behind seats for speakers to be fitted (no speakers),
The electric fan comes on straight away when the engine turns on and doesn't turn off,
Boot lock although brand new doesn't lock and needs fiddling with.
I bought this car whilst i had a part time job AND was a student with student loan etc I am no longer a student and so have to make do with part time job until I find suitable employment and unforunately in a toss up between paying rent and paying insurance the car came out on the bottom of the priority list... It will be sad to see the car go, especialy for so little after so much has been spent on the car by me. The car is in a 100% useable state as is and to be honest needs very little now to make it a fantastic car, more time than £££.
This car is a bargain and I will be very sad to see it go. I bought the car for £3250, £7k+ work done since and yours for £3500 ono.
Taxed until may 2010, MOT expires March 2010
