Very rare Fiat 124 Spider AS For Sale (1968) edit C119981 | | | I am regretfully offering my lovely Fiat Spider for sale. Its a very early chrome bumper model but has the advantage of having a later 1998cc fiat twin cam engine and 5 speed gearbox. The original was a 1438cc and a 4 speed box which are now impossible to find and so difficult to maintain. Its in very good condition and was restored around 10 years ago. The worst part of the car is the bottom of both doors which are bubbling and a little split and need attention. Aside from that the body work is good but not concours. The interior is very original and has new carpets. The front bumper is good, the rear and the door handles a little pitted but polish up well. It could do with new front vinyl seat covers but this can be easily sourced and are available from Germany (Spiderpoint.de) and the US via ebay. They arent expensive. It has the original Cromodora wheels, a new tonneau cover and a car cover. Tax exempt and is MOT'd til March 2010. A few minor advisories on last MOT - suspension related (bushes and one tyre a bit worn on the inside) but again cheap to fix. Gorgeous car, rare and desirable and drives beautifully and is surprisingly nippy. No smoke or funny noises. Much more interesting than an MGB and much much rarer. Only selling so I can buy a historic racer. Serious enquiries only please. No timewasters or requests for 1000s of photos!
