Here it is, never restored, only done a 1000 mile with its last owner for 24 years Mr Merrit in Mountfield , East Sussex, who sold me the car as being refurbished and recommissioned, needing a little TLC for 6500£. Well...when I got the car it turned out I had to do the radiator core, the brakes, the carbs, the steeringjoints etc; etc. but she had a newish Webasto. At my garage they did a great job and now she is MOT'd and finally a treat to drive. Look at the shutlines, the beautiful condition the chrome is in, the old red leather (no ambler as in the jaguar 240 and 340) the carpet and condition of the boot. It is an example that you will not find again. A long file of maintenance work done through the years, MOT's from over 30 years to prove her mileage, even the service booklet and the manual are there and last but not least, this is a Daimler, the most luxury car that was build by Jaguar in the Daimler factory. In common with the Mk2, it featured all-round disc brakes, independent front suspension and a live rear axle located by Panhard rod, though with leather upholstery, spot and fog lamps, heated rear window and wheel trims as standard, it was notably better equipped. Credited with 140bhp and 155lbft of torque, the Daimler was reputedly capable of 115mph. Much scarcer than its sibling, it was also held to enjoy superior chassis dynamics thanks to a better weight distribution.
Better than the late 340 or 240 types that were build "on the cheap". These Daimlers are getting rare and the value is creeping up quicker than their Jaguar siblings, still undervalued but getting there. I am selling because of the fact that I have to many cars and was so disapointed by the previous seller, that the car is no longer an asset to me. believe me, she has cost me more but she is for sale now for only 9950GBP and if you drive and see the car you will know it is a bargain. I bought the car on pictures only, trusting the previous owner. I will not sell her that way. you have to come and look and enjoy her and see that she is sold in all honesty. Pour les Français sérieuse cette Daimler est une voiture d'origine, jamais restaurée dans un état incroyable et à juste fait une faible 1000 miles les dernières 24 années avec son propriétaire de 24 ans. Toujours dans une garage chauffée et toujours entretenu comme il faut. Maintenant freins, radiateur et carburateurs reconditionné et une Webasto neuf. Mieux que les Jaguars du même époque, plus luxueuse et avec un moteur de 2500 cc. Elle est rare, les prix pour les Daimler montent plus vite que pour les soeur de Jaguar et elle est à vendre, parce que j'ai trop des voitures, pour 9950 livres prix fixe.
