Due to the desire to set up my own business, I am having to sell my beautiful full custom 1956 Karmann Ghia.
This is quite simply the most well sorted best driving aircooled car I have ever owned and put not only the Volkswagens but also most classic Porsches I've owned to shame.
The car was originally imported from California a couple of years back and was featured in Hot Vw's in April 2004 and the March 2005 issue of Volksworld while still under the ownership of its American builder. In the US it won a number of top level awards and this is testament to the attention to detail applied by the original builder.
As well as the obviously well restored body and chromed 911 Fuchs, it features a number of unusual tricks including full leather interior and matching panels, air-conditioning, monster stereo, 944 disc brakes all round, Berg 5 speed gearbox, and detailed 2.2ltr motor. (specs below)
I will be sorry to see this car go as it is a pleasure to drive both at the traffic light grand prix or cruising in the outside lane of the motorway chasing repmobiles! It always turns heads and as proof of that, won its class at the recent VWNW show at Tatton Park.
