TVR Vixen 1600 S2 For Sale (1970) edit C106700 | | | This metallic blue TVR Vixen 1600 S2, one of a only a few hundred made in 1970, is kitted out ready for sprinting and hillclimbing - and comes with original interior if you wish to return it to its original state as a road car.
Meeting all the safety requirements for hillclimbs and sprints, this is an ideal starter car for someone keen to take up this pursuit; however, it also offers the flexibility to be transformed back into a regular road going car. It is taxed and MOT'd through May 2010 [although officially tax-exempt due to its age].
The car has the classic 1600 cross-flow engine 711m block, currently in standard tune, and could be modified for ongoing sprint and hillclimb use. The tubular chassis is rust free and the body is in good order (apart from some slight paint blemishing at the rear, nothing serious). It has the original T slot TVR wheels with decent tyres. A new clutch has been recently fitted along with a new starter motor. New lower trunnions have also been fitted. It has the later style longer doors for easier access, making the car look well balanced - as you can see from the photos, still a real head turner!
