Purchased new in the US , In 1969 this is the last of the hand built cars, Was purchased for the present owner in Los Angeles in 1994. The restoration of the vehicle has taken some ten years although the major rebuild of the of the body and chassis was completed in 1996/7 by MaKay and Whelan in Dunedin (New Zealand)
Other work was undertaken by the Mercedes Benz Agents in Dunedin ( Franks ) now Armstrong Prestige .( Matthew Smith) also Jonathan Walker I have all contact details for these people. Trim Work by Ian Ingram. Woodwork redone . Chrome work redone, and rubbers replaced. Mechanical work has included a complete top engine overhaul (2004) , King Pins replaced, Exhaust and shock absorbers replaced , and anything which required attention ( including brakes). The total cost 59,900 NZD (39,000 USD)

The car drives beautifully and is very reliable . It should be noted that this is an entirely genuine cabriolet ( double floor) and with distinctive original bumpers in place. Complete with most original books and delivery documents and tool kit. Rust free and rust proofed.
