BMW E30 M3 For Sale (1986) edit C100576 | | | Finished in Lachs Silver, and in stunning condition with only 125K miles. 5 months tax and 7 months MOT. Originally imported from Germany and sold by M3 specialists Independent Motor Co in 2000. I have owed the car since November 2004 buying it from Northumberland BMW specialists Autobahn of Hexham. The car has been maintained regardless of cost by them ever since.
There is extensive history file, with all old MOT’s since being imported, along with stamped service book from the original supplying German garage, and all receipts for servicing and works carried out in the UK. The last service was only just over 2000 miles ago and still has four lights on the dash. Major problem areas have been addressed over the last few years and wear and tear items have been replaced recently. Timing chain was done at 76K miles. New fuel tank fitted only last year at 117K miles along with the rear discs and pads at the same time. I had new rear shocks replaced at 106K miles and the car runs on lightly uprated springs which tightens up the handling. The only other modification is the full Scorpion Stainless Steel exhaust. Wheels are standard 15inch with Michelin Pilots all round with plenty tread left.
Interior is all standard with grey tartan cloth finish to seats, full trip computer, rear blind and full electric windows and tilt/slid roof. Security is provided by Thatcham Approved Cobra alarm and immobiliser.
I’ve recently had some minor restoration work carried out to the bodywork on front bumper, nose and around windscreen to remove stone chips a small patch of rust. A new windscreen was fitted in the same process. These improvements have finished the car off to a very high standard. The value of these cars is continually increasing and good ones like this will only ever keep going up if kept in good order. Insurance is a bargain for the type of car (£380 for standard policy limited to 5K miles) and servicing averages out at £258.86 a year. Overall it’s a great car and one that will only make money in the long run, and doesn’t cost a fortune to run. Has to be viewed to be fully appreciated. Call for more details. Car in London or Kent.
